He currently advises the Australian Digital Health Agency on national digital health infrastructure. Passionate about democratising AI, career pivoting, and continuous learning, Barry was recognised as one of Australia’s Most Influential Asian-Australians Under 40 in 2020.
Dr. Khurram Akhter brings together the worlds of clinical medicine and health technology. As a practicing Family Physician, he has extensive experience across international healthcare markets. His vision drives HealthAide’s mission to transform healthcare delivery globally.
Under Barry’s and his leadership, HealthAide developed innovative solutions leading to HealthAide being named one of the “10 Most Disruptive AI Companies in Healthcare” by Analytical Insight in 2019.
Dr. Akhter’s expertise in bridging clinical practice with technological innovation helps shape HealthAide’s approach to modernising healthcare. Clint holds a PhD in engineering and a Masters in Entrepreneurship. He has always been focused on how new ideas can be converted into viable ventures to help people achieve their goals – whatever they might be. To this end he has, worked in the automotive, mining, and medical equipment industries. HealthAide brings a new challenge to leverage the coalescing attributes of new data science and clinician expertise to help disseminate quality health information globally and connect patients with the best clinician for them. He is also host of HealthAide’s podcast “The Self-Centered Clinician” that shares insights clinicians can use to care for themselves and augment their careers.
