Understand Plantar Fasciitis
We sometimes call it “Policeman’s Foot” as it was often found in officers walking long distances in uncomfortable footwear. The technical term is Plantar Fasciitis which often presents as pain in the heels.
Whilst not something that will take your life, it is something that can make your life miserable.
Our feet take a pounding on a daily basis and get little care from us until too late. It is fashionable to talk about “doing your 10 000 steps, but no one is talking about looking after our feet so we can continue to do 10 000 steps.
In this video Podiatrist Sam Abdelmalek talks about the key issues with this problem. Things like what causes it, the different types out there, methods of treatment and how to know if you are improving.
This video is ideal for anyone suffering from the condition (or is wondering if they do) and general practitioners/medical students who want a handy reference from an expert.
